A report last year highlighted that plumbers are the ‘happiest workers in Britain’

“They are least likely to get driven around the U-bend, with 55% saying they were “very happy” in life. Builders were the second chirpiest on 38%, with marketing staff on 36% and taxi and lorry drivers on 32%.”

“The most miserable employees work in advertising with 42% saying they are unhappy in life. Social workers came next, at 22%, police and chefs at 21%, and sports and leisure employees at 20%. By comparison, plumbers are almost all happy in their jobs – with not a single one ranked “unhappy”.”
