Awful. J&P completely scammed and exploited my 79-year-old mother. Demanded payment in advance for work that still hasn't been finished. Constant lies about when they will fix it.... This has been going on for 9 months. They should be ashamed of themselves.Also worth noting that they have a history of using multiple company names and multiple websites, presumably to disguise the trail of damage they leave.read more

Sadly an unbelievably aggressive approach taken by this company to payment. Work done on 29th December and court proceedings issued on 6th January. No indication that payment... terms were anything other than normal 7 or 14 days. No warning that court proceedings would be issued. Man on site was good so obviously very aggressive company.read more

I had a very disappointing encounter with them.Boiler gave an error message, which of course happened during a rather cold night. I decided to call a plumber and found J and P... online.Got charged £95 for the call and the time, which seems reasonable since it was same day appointment. However, not only nothing was fixed, I was then told that the boiler was 'old' (mind you, less than 10 yr old), and it needed at least 3 parts replaced for a total cost of £800. Was also suggested to buy a new boiler for £1800.Decided to get a second opinion.A British Gas technician fixed my boiler in less than an hour today. He found that one of the key cables (for the boiler to work) was left unplugged behind the (screwed-in) panel. Also the fan was dirty and needed a wash.Problem solved and boiler is working again.Almost make me think you guys are a bunch of crooks. oh, wait.You asked me to email you, and the email bounced back. Great work from J and P have done in our house renovation installing showers and taps and installing a new boiler etc.Engineers were tidy and on time every day. It was one thing... less to worry about.We've now moved in and are warm and cosy and clean!read more

Vaillant boiler packed in found them on Google, read reviews and they were good, so called J&P to come in and have a look.Simon almost immediately found the problem, talked me... through my options and gave me a quote to repair or get a new one. They have just finished the boiler replacement today and the house is finally warm again. Efficient team, good bloke.read more

No trustworthy at all. We used J&P to fit a new boiler and plumb in our bathroom.Firstly they strongly recommended that they supply us with a boiler. It was not fitted properly... and as a leaky pipe almost flooded our kitchen. Owing to our bad experience with J&P we used Pimlico Plumbers to fix it who were amazing. The plumber from Pimlico was astounded by the size of the boiler they had installed, citing that it was not at all fit for purpose. It was suitable for a large house and not a 1 bathroom flat. As a result it loses pressure on a regular basis. Something we cannot rectify without replacing it. In hindsight we could see that this boiler was not new and had clearly been a misorder from another job which had been passed on to us even though it was completely wrong for our flat.Secondly when fitting the bathroom they came in for a few hours on the first day to lay some pipes and promised us that they would complete the work within the week however, despite constant chasing up we did not see them for a almost 3 weeks following their first visit. It took almost a month for them to do a relatively simple plumbing job and, perhaps slightly naively we were locked in to using them as we had paid quite a bit up front and they wouldn’t provide us with a boiler commissioning certificate until they had finished the bathroom. It was an incredibly difficult time for both myself and my wife as we had to go to friends houses to use their showers.Despite our grievances the owner of the company was increasingly unsympathetic and defensive owing to the fact he did not want to compensate us. Having to call out Pimlico Plumbers to fix their mistakes made the job incredibly expensive and we are still paying for it.Please don’t make the same mistake. They should not be trusted.read more

Contacted them in the morning and to their credit they were able to come out to my place the next day. The guy walked in and saw my Baxi Boiler which was just a mth out of... warranty and immediately suggested I buy a new boiler without even looking or opening my boiler. Boiler just more than 2 years old. He said he could prob fix it but might end up costing quite a lot. Anyway got Baxi in on their maintenance plan and they sorted it out. Not very professional from J&P. Be Careful and definitely get a second opinion. Also got charged £102 for a call out fee. All of this for just telling me to buy a new boiler. Also when I initially called they said no charge out fee unless they work on the boiler.read more

My boiler expired suddenly and as a result we were without hot water or heating. Rob Quayle from J and P was literally outside my door inside half an hour after our call and... patiently explained the situation and what my options were. He went away and gave me a chance to think about what I wanted to do, and when we eventually decided to go for a new boiler he was able to recommend a make and model and fit it the very next day. As a result we were only without hot water and heating for 24 hours in total.He was also polite, knowledgeable and respectful in our home, something we greatly appreciated. Would recommended as a first port of call for anyone that needs boiler service/renewal.read more
