Below are some of the signs your boiler needs replacement.

1)        Increased Frequency of Repair

As time passes, your boiler gets old and parts of the boiler gets worn out. Parts of the boiler also break down and will need replacement. Frequency of part replacements increases as the boiler ages more, it might even reach a point where you will need to replace parts every couple of months. Kettling refers to when your boiler produces a worrying rumbling sound. You may be conversant with the idea of hard and soft water. Hard water contain more minerals than soft water. If your boiler works with hard water, then the minerals in the water usually accumulates. This especially occurs at the boiler’s heat exchanger. After a long period of boiling hard water, the mineral accumulates until when water flow is restricted or completely blocked. This leads to excessive increase in pressure within the boiler system leading to kettling. The pressure build up is always dangerous and may even lead to explosion. If your boiler produces such rumbling sound, then it is time for a replacement.

3)        Energy Bills Going Up

As your boiler ages, then its efficiency goes down especially if not properly maintained. Most of the times the boilers start consuming more energy than before. If the increase in energy pay bill is too much, then it could be time for a replacement. Instead of paying excess energy bills, you can use this money to purchase a newer more efficient boiler.
